• Right-hand design feed-thru Profile & Edge Sander with (6) belt sanding stations and (1) vertically mounted sanding wheel or brush head motor.
• Caterpillar type feed chain with 5" wide non-marring rubberized pads; variable feed speed from 7.5 - 37 MPM (24 - 120 FPM), 4.8 HP feed drive.
• Upper pressure beam with 40 mm dia. rubber holddown rollers running in ball bearings, rollers spaced closely at 1-1/2" intervals and can be removed for part clearance.
• Workstations: (6) Belt sanding units for sanding of profile or straight edges. These universal sanding heads tilt from vertical to 90° down with a few degrees of over travel in each direction.
• The machine is made up of the following series of sanding heads
• 1st & 5th stations: Type M4/130mm (5") wide; 2,300 mm (90-1/2") belt length; 25 - 485 IPS sanding belt speed run by 3 kW (4 HP) motors.
• 2nd, 3rd & 4th stations: Type M4/80mm (3") wide; 2,300 mm (90-1/2") belt length; 25 - 485 IPS sanding belt speed run by 3 kW (4 HP) motors.
• 6th Station: Type K4/50mm (2") wide; 2,000 mm (79") belt length; 20 - 310 IPS belt speed run by 1.1 kW (1.5 HP) motor.
• Variable sanding belt speed by means of BERGES "ACP 3000" frequency drives.
• Last station: BURSTE Motor setup for sanding wheel, arbor 150 mm dia. and length of 60 mm.
• Each unit equipped with: Dust extraction hood with integrated belt blasting unit, belt brake shutoff switch, sanding shoe holder w/quick change unit & pneumatic jump control.
• Provisions for installation of electronic 3-axis control unit for manual adjustment of axis.
• Electronic line controls for automatic engaging & disengaging in time of the sanding shoe/pad depending on the feed speed, the sanding pressure, and the angular position of the sanding unit.
