• Right Hand Version (material feeds from left to right) w/12" Max. & 1.2" min. board width cap., thickness from 1/2"-4" max., board length from 16" min. - 20' max., outfeed length can be as short as 7"; cuts of softwood or hardwood material.
• Equipped with: 10 HP - 3,600 RPM arbor motor, 20" dia. saw blade; 10 HP Servo drive feed motor accelerates material up to 750 FPM, (3) pneumatically operated top rollers and (1) driven bottom drum roller positively feed the board to the saw, then stop quickly for saw to make precision cut.
• System consists of: 16' manual marking station with (2) marking tables feeding the camera infeed section.
• Measuring station: Belt conveyor where length of boards are measured by the double wheel measuring system while the top mounted luminescent camera detects the crayon marks for grade and defect zones, and a fluorescent side cameras detects edge grade marks; up to (8) grades possible each with up to 20 lengths.
• Transport belt: 10" Wide infeed belt between measuring station and saw, 16' length to process full 20' length board.
• Saw Station features: Saw stroke cylinder with acceleration & deceleration unit for very high cutting speed; the patented Waste Gate eliminates short waste & end trims at the saw blade.
• Outfeed & Sorting: 10" wide accelerating belt conveyor to (7) waste ejectors and sorting station to 70' long sort belt, 2 HP feed drive. • Kickers are encoder pulse controlled and sort by any combination of length, grade and width. End of belt can be used as an additional sort or for long stock.
• Separate control cabinet with: Industrial PC-type computer "Opticom Direct" controller with 12" Touch screen, 101-key board, Windows CE based, hard disk for data storage & floppy disk drive; controls all system functions including Measuring, Optimizing, Cutting & Sorting.
• Software program handles (16) board groups, each with (8) grades and (200) fixed lengths; production statistics on quantities, grades & times; graphical representation of boards; simulation of board data; full fault indication and "onboard" diagnostic.
