BD QBC II System #4460. This seven-parameter hematology screening device yields the following quantitative values from a centrifuged blood tube: hematocrit, platelet count, white blood cell count, granulocyte count (% and number), and lymphocyte-monocyte count (% and number). The QBC II platelet count, white blood cell counts and the granulocyte and lymphocyte-monocyte white cell subpopulations are estimates derived from electro-optical measurements of the packed cell volumes in a specially-designed QBC blood tube. The QBC II system cannot discriminate betweeen normal and abnormal cell types. The system includes the #4460 Reader, #4702 Centrifuge, Specimen Tray, Pipettor, and operator manual.
