Shandon Therma-Centre model 70. This circulating hot air slide dryer has a large drying compartment and features a plastic chasis with a polished stainless steel drying chamber. A grid wall divides the cabinet into a heating compartment and the drying chamber. The heating compartment is fully insulated and a sturdy blower forces air over and under the heating elements, through the grid divider, and into the drying compartment. The heated air circulates in the drying compartment, then is forced back to the system thermostat, and finally is exhausted through the uper grids of the chamber. The user sets a desired operating temperature within a range of ambient to 70 degrees C. The unit controls the temperature of the dryer chamber to an accuracy of within +/- 2.0C with a uniformity of +/- 1 or +/- 2C at 70C. Chamber temperature is displayed on a large, easy to read display. As a safety feature, the chamber is protected with a backup thermostat. This backup shuts down the heater in the event of a failure of the primary temperature controller. Heatup time is 18 minutes. This unit operates at either 115 or 230 volts and consumes 71 watts/hr. The system software automatically tracks and adjusts the clock for time changes due to daylight savings time or date changes in leap years. Slide capacity is 120.
