Description:

Harris BSH-553A pre-compression shear, undergoing refurbishment to a high standard. Shear throat and crosshead relined. 3 x 90Kw main motors re-stoved & re-insulated with new bearings, 914mm wide knife, 6.7m long charging box, 2 x 140tons side compression cylinders plus 2 x 69 tons `flipper` compression cylinders, 202 tons clamp force, 561 tons shear force. Shearing capacity: 51mm thick x 762mm wide mild steel plate (or the equivalent). Pre-loading feed hopper, production rate: 8-14 tons per hour. Machine gross weight: 103 tonnes.
The machine is currently in UK workshops nearing refurbishment & testing.
Full documentation including parts, service and operator manuals, foundation, electrical and hydraulic drawings are available.
We are also able to offer installation, commissioning and operator training service with Harris service engineers.
