Both Infrared/Convection (SMD Series) and Forced Convection (EFC Series) Reflow Soldering Ovens are offered by RTC. Process gas recirculation in the EFC Series is based on RTC's gas amplifier technology rather than on powered fans or blowers. It uses venturi effects to accelerate the process gas without any of the temperature limitations, contaminants or short lifetimes associated with fans and blowers. Key advantages of this technology are its higher temperature capability (450°C), better reliability (because moving parts are eliminated from the heated gas recirculation system), and superior heating control (since the gas flow can be infinitely adjusted over a wide range of flow rates).
