# AT bus
# Two RS-232 Ports
# 64K non-volatile CMOS memory
# Ten relay outputs
# Twelve optically isolated inputs
# 5 1/4 or optional 3 1/2 floppy disk drive, hard disk, and 1MB RAM
# Built-in CRT and Keyboard
# Any accessory for an AT can be added, such as expanded memory, IEEE 488, additional RS 232, printer, additional I/O , etc.
AFS Accubot Introduction:
The Accubot is a compact, clean-room compatible, four-axis SCARA style robot. It has four independent joints, which enable the Accubot to reach any point at any angle within its work envelope. Cassettes of wafers or disks, for example, can be located side-by-side rather than radially. The Accubot can get into tight spaces (such as inside process equipment chambers) because of its ability to move the wrist and each arm joint independently as needed. All vacuum, pneumatic lines, and electrical lines are inside the cylindrical arm segments for extra cleanliness.
The Accubot has an advanced controller (used also on AFS's X-Y tables and AFS 100 track) based on an IBM PC/AT, allowing the user to program in Microsoft QuickBASIC or C, both structured, compiled languages. This makes robot programming and communication to equipment and host computer systems much easier than most other robots.
