Description:
The Headway Research, Inc. developed PWM101 controller is our top of the line motor controller for the EC/PM motor packages. It is based on a sophisticated Pulse-Width-Modulation motor drive technology and offers greatly increased motor speed stability over the SCR style controller as well as enhanced acceleration and deceleration controls over a wide operating range.
When compared to the SCR motor drive, the PWM approach is more precise in speed regulation, is virtually insensitive to severe line voltage fluctuation, has higher torque when driving the same motor, and is considerably less harsh on the motor brushes, resulting in longer motor life.
The PWM101 controller consists of a power package and an operation control panel interconnected by a 12 foot cable. This allows the operator panel to be mounted in a convenient location to better support the customers unique space and process requirements.
Customers that currently have Headway's SCR controller can purchase the PWM101 as an upgrade to their existing system. The PWM101 is plug compatible on most standard SCR systems, but those customers using a Headway dispense system in conjunction with their SCR controller may require a minor component change.
