The electronic frequency converter TURBOTRONIK NT20 has been developed for the operation of turbomolecular pumps from the TURBOVAC range, equipped with mechanical bearings and with pumping speeds between 150 and 1000 l/sec. The frequency converter automatically identifies the type of pump connected.

Description:
The drive electronics convert the single-phase mains voltage into a three-phase AC voltage suitable for driving the three-phase asynchronous motor of the TURBOVAC. The electronics perform automatic monitoring functions of the connected systems. THe extensive control and system monitoring facilities offer great flexibility for controlling processes. The unit may be operated either directly via the keyboard on front panel or remotely through the interface. The membrane keyboard - a type espeically selected for use in clean rooms - is provided with pushbuttons marked Start, Stop, and Heating. All important operating modes (Remote, Power, Start, Stop, Normal, Overload, Failure, and type of fault) are indicated by LEDs.
Located on the back of the unit are the mains switch as well as the connections for controlling the backing pump, venting valve, flange heater and air cooler. A terminal strip is provided for external control, monitoring devices and status output signals. The serial RS232C interface offers connections for remote operation and monitoring.
