The unit is believed to be rebuilt by PTB-Sales. It looks extremely clean minus a various scratches to the paint. There is no oil in this pump.

Description:
The Varian Model VHS-4 Diffusion Pump delivers the highest pumping speed of all diffusion pumps in its class. This particular pump has a 4-inch ASA inlet flange with a NW40 KF foreline flange. Its fractionating jet purifies the pumping fluid as it operates. Its finned boiler increases the heated surface area, which prolongs the life of the pumping fluid.
