This press was designed and built new by Kobe Steel Corp. in 1978. It is a Pull-Down type Open Die Oil Hydraulic Forging Press.
The tonnage rating by Kobe Steel is 4,000 metric tons.
It is equipped with a hydraulic system consisting of seven (7) 350kW (470hp) pumps.
